Joseph DiPrete-DiGioia
    Memorial Scholarship

    Spring 2007

High School (including Home School) Seniors are invited to apply for this annual
    award.

The Joseph DiPrete-DiGioia Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student who
shows interest in, and capacity for
    · impacting his / her community in a positive way
    · trust, loyalty, and concern for others
    · pursuit of higher education or other post-secondary experience
...  and who has financial need.

This award is made in memory of Joseph D. and his life of laughter, fun, friendship, and
thoughtfulness. His life ended suddenly as a BAHS Freshman, on October 4, 2003, after the Maine
XC Festival of Champions statewide meet. Joseph was a “best friend” to many. He was also an
honors student, a Track and XC runner who ran State championships in spring 2003. He loved his
brother, his buddies, his team and his town. He also loved hiking, exploration, and reading. Joe's
family, with the help of friends, neighbors, and community, created the scholarship fund in 2003, and
has given to several wonderful young adults in 3 years.

Joe's friends and classmates are especially encouraged to apply.
